Nutrisystem & Diets Plans – Expensive Rip-offs?
Here’s is a summary of the latest discussions on structured diet plans…
Consumers on such programs as NutriSystem, the Zone, The Abs Diet, The 5-Factor Diet, South Beach, Weight Watchers and the Martha’s Vineyard Diet Detox can expect to spend as little as $100 and as much as $385 during the first week. … NutriSystem was the cheapest option.
If you shell out the money, try not focus on your short-term “weight-loss” goal rather think about your long term health and act accordingly. Change your lifestyle, not just your meals for the next week or month on these programs.
All of these diets work a little. The magic bullet is choosing a variety of food that tastes good, and then commit yourself to a new way of eating … and don’t forget to exercise!

But aren’t these programs a rip-off?
Take for example, the well known Nutrisystem: they ship everything pre-measured and pre-packaged, but realize that you could go out and shop for your own fresh vegetables, fruits and dairy and you could make the same recipes a whole lot cheaper.
Plus the “before and after” pictures are deceiving. The famous people who advertise their products don’t tell you about the exercise regime they put themselves through in order to lose the weight. Their results are not typical and did not come from being on the diet exclusively!
